Sharia Law is an imminent threat to every Texan and should not be allowed to run parallel with the Texas Constitution. Sharia Law and the Texas Constitution are antithetical and incompatible. The Islamification of Texas is the antithesis to our Constitution and Western culture. Sharia law must be abolished on Texas soil.

Meet Julie Hunt
Julie Hunt is a Christian conservative, mother, Texas delegate, and grassroots activist committed to putting Texas families first.
Her philosophy is rooted in a simple belief: government exists to serve the people, protect individual liberty, and remain accountable to the citizens who entrusted leaders with public office.
Julie believes strong families, safe neighborhoods, constitutional government, quality education, and economic opportunity are essential to the future of House District 141.
As a grassroots activist, Julie has worked within her community to engage citizens, promote civic participation, and advocate for conservative principles.
She is seeking the opportunity to represent House District 141 with a focus on responsible government, stronger families, lower taxes, safer communities, and increased economic opportunity.

Julie believes strongly in the rule of law and the rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution as written.
As an originalist, she will advocate for:

Julie also believes Texans should understand their constitutional rights and responsibilities and supports stronger civic education.

Safe communities are the foundation of a thriving society.
Julie supports the men and women of law enforcement who protect our neighborhoods, businesses, schools, and families.
She believes safer neighborhoods help:

- Children safely enjoy their communities
- Seniors feel secure
Julie supports community policing, stronger relationships between law enforcement and residents, and ensuring officers have the resources needed to protect and serve the public.
Property Tax Relief
Julie believes Texans who achieve the dream of homeownership should not face the possibility of being taxed out of their homes.
She supports substantial property-tax relief, including reducing the school property-tax burden placed on homeowners and examining ways the state can assume a greater share of education funding.
Her goal is to make homeownership more affordable and sustainable for working Texas families.

Every child deserves access to an education that prepares them for success.

Julie believes Texas and United States law must remain the governing legal standard for every Texan.
She opposes any attempt—religious, ideological, organizational, or otherwise—to establish a parallel legal system that overrides constitutional protections or Texas law.
Julie will defend religious liberty while maintaining that every person and institution remains subject to the same Constitution and laws of Texas and the United States.
